Verified ReviewerProblem with new chairs
I took delivery of a table and four chairs yesterday morning. I am very pleased with the set except for a problem with two of the chairs.
They wobble due to uneven legs. No amount of adjustment of the levelers in the legs corrected the problem. Two chairs, each with one uneven leg.
I do not want to return the chairs but do need them to be adjusted. Thank you.
Furniture is not well made - 6 months and falling apart
Not even one star - all their furniture I bought which consist of a table with 4 stools no backs, 2 stools with backs a rocker recliner and a rocking love seat are either falling apart or the rocker recliner actually tips over when trying to get out of it and squeaks when you are rocking. I have almost fallen over with my grand baby in my arms.
And it is not just me, my daughter has as well. I tried to express my concern to the store manager at the Thornton location and she wouldn't even return my call. She had her customer service manager (supposedly) call me and she opened a case, said I was past my return window.
Really this is a safety issue - shouldn't be a matter of a return window.
Waiting on them and you can't even get them to give you a corporate office contact to talk to. I would think this would be important to them - but guess they don't car about your safety or a infants.

Jansen the manager told me people buy 100.000 cars and they breakdown thats the way life go at American furniture warehouse in Firestone co .he was nasty he had pore customer service I paid over 2000 for a set the port broke on it . And they told me they need to take my entire couch to repair a charger port .
Then I called the Englewood co location and the lgirl there refused to put someone on the phone from corporate she said that in so many words its against the rules to go be me corporate info . Please please do not buy anything from thee not even a picture .and the Firestone location hung up in my face .

Made my first purchase from you last week with a delivery scheduled for today. I worked with Alan Lloyd (who was amazing from the beginning) at the Englewood location and provided very specific detail regarding delivery with a map and very specific gate instructions.
This all broke down once it fell in the hands of Jordan who became confused regarding the delivery address.
I was informed today that the delivery crew attempted delivery but it was unsuccessful. Now I am being told this delivery will be scheduled for 2 weeks from today, totally unacceptable.
This is unacceptable as you have thousands of my dollars and holding it for another 2+ weeks where I am unable to access it or enjoy the furniture it was meant to provide.

I purchased the bed frame and headboard from this company two days ago, and I paid $89 extra to have it delivered and reassembled. The delivery people told me that they weren't going to assemble it because they don't assemble those kinds of beds, and they left.
We opened the box and the screws didn't fit the headboard. We immediately took it back to the store and they said it takes five days to return to get my money.
That store is the worst store in the world, and it's a rip-off. I don't think anybody should shop there ever.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Apology was made....and humanity restored.
29" bar height.
Frame constructed of aluminum.
Bronze-brown powder coat finish.
Resin wicker seat, back and arms.
Seasonal item, while supplies last.
And right beneath the description is this:
Chiwi Bronze Brown Collection
This collection is great for indoor and outdoor use. Chairs and stools frames are constructed of aluminum, with resin wicker seats, backs and arms.
Glass table top also has an aluminum base. All pieces have a durable baked on powder bronze brown finish.
All of this indicates there are chairs with the tabletop. So, we ordered it for pick up and when we got there, we were told NO CHAIRS, even though all employees read the description.
We spoke to an arrogant manager who shook his head and basically said that the name and picture just show the table, so it is not misleading. No apology for us driving all the way there under false pretenses - nothing.
We then asked - how much for the chairs -- his response was "we do not carry the chairs any longer"...
Ok, so now we wasted time ordering and driving all the way to the warehouse for nothing.
He said they had some other high top tables we could look at -- and I kindly asked if they could do anything for us due to this snafu and inconvenience. Nope, not a thing.
Sad that your arrogant manager could not have said something like - "I can see how this is deceptive and I am so sorry for the inconvenience..." That would have been sufficient, but he was too mighty to do that. Sad, really.
I know this is petty, but want you to also know that I went to the restroom and the individual at the customer pickup window had just finished peeing and walked straight out - as I was walking past him by the sinks... he walked right by and out of the restroom.
This is the individual who greeted us and took each of our IDs and my CC and touched them. GROSS.
Whatever happened to employees must wash their hands... and the customer service at AFW has continued to decline year after year.
Believe it or not, we still bought a high table set for our patio (I tried to talk wife out of it. Sales person said she would call us when the furniture arrived from Thornton.
She never did.

Last week, I was told by Jolina Wollenhaupt at AFW customer service, that the table would be coming down from website today (Thu 5/30) - I just checked today and it is still up (6/3)
WE ARE DONE WITH AFW. You should be too unless you like really cruddy customer service

My furniture which was 6 months old and covered under warranty broke. They came to pick up the chair for repair.
When the chair came back it was not fixed at all. I told them the chair was still broken and they said the did their part and there is nothing else they will do. I asked for a manager and I was out on hold for over a hour and then got disconnected. I even emailed.
Over a week later still no answer. They sell the furniture and thats it they are done with you.
Undelivered gift card and non response from customer service.
I purchased an e-gift card for my brother. It was never sent to him, I never received the receipt.
I called customer service and went back and forth with them and they couldn't figure out the issue and said they would get back to me. They finally sent me an email saying it was being escalated further. Then they ghosted me.
I have sent multiple follow-ups and finally received a response today that is word for word a copy of the email they sent me nearly a month ago telling me it has been escalated. I am so frustrated and will NEVER support this company again and I will tell everyone I meet to avoid them.

It's a unworthy and untrustworthy place is just horrible and if I was any customer I would never trust that place ever they need to close it it's too bad that the man that started that company is dead

The final outcome is yet to be determined. AFW needs serious training for customer service representatives. No one should have to go through what I did to get a resolution.
The furniture is from overseas
I bought furniture from the Glendale store. My sofa ripped after only 6 months of use.
I called customer service, a female stated a tech will be out soon to repair.
I liked at the sofa and found the tag says made in Korea. Much to my surprise it's not American made.
I did my research on American Furniture Warehouse.
This furniture the company is selling is from overseas. Now I understand why it's not lasting
I won't be shopping there anymore.

Compré un juego de sala en AFW situada en Montebello PHX. La silla vino rota y me mandaron un técnico a casa.
Dictaminó que tenían que llevarse la silla al taller y que me llamaban en dos días. Eso fue el día 29/06. ¡A esta fecha aún sigo esperando y nada!
Necesito solución para mi silla. Y que sea inmediata, pues ya he estado esperando bastante.

Price Matching
I called the Gilbert store as I found the identical sofa at Ashley for $100 less. I asked if they would price match and was told they would not price match from Ashley's website.
I would need to go into their store, take a photo of the sale price, and then go to AFW to get the price matched. If I'm already going to Ashley to take a photo of the sofa, I will just purchase it there.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I was contacted by management and was refunded 1/2 of delivery fee as well as $100 store credit.
I am a frequent customer at AFW. The initial delivery was rescheduled due to the items being missing and wrong item, therefore AFW had to reschedule to get the correct items. I realize things happen but to show such rudeness and disrespect as a manager and lack of empathy or concern is unfortunate.
We decided to just pick up our own items to avoid any further dealings or other occurrences. I had a horrible experience and even worse customer service.
